Divine Potential was an idea that started in the shower that is rooted in biblical truth. Today we are in the midst of a war. Some may be able to see it while others may not. But a war none the less. 

 

Hopelessness within the youth has doubled since 2010. Depression rates have increased by 18% in the last decade. Suicide (which is closely linked to hopelessness) has become the 10th leading cause for death between 15 & 29 year olds. 40% of Americans report having financial stress and job insecurity. And to put the cherry on top 74% of Americans are considered overweight or obese.

 

Numbers do not lie, we have a serious problem. But lucky enough for you I know the answer and that’s through a relationship with Jesus. I’m not saying you won’t struggle but it's a great place to start. But here’s the truth: 

 

• You and I were created in the image of God 

  • “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” - Genesis 1:27

• We are blessed and to be fruitful and multiply

  • “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” - Genesis 1:28 

​

• We were born to work and steward what God has entrusted to us

  • “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” - Genesis 2:15  

​

• We were born to do good works and leave a legacy that out lives us

  • “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” - Ephesians 2:10 

​

• You are LOVED and VALUED so much so God sent his one and only son to die for your sins 

  •  “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8 

​

• God has a plan for you

  • “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:5

​

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. It's so much deeper than that. 

The goal for Divine Potential is simply to help guide you to becoming the person God created you to be. We’ve got a podcast and newsletter and the goal is to provide you with the right resources to make sure you’re well informed and equipped to win and beat the enemy.

I want to be very clear. We're not pastors or scholars. Our goal isn't to be anyone's sole source of direction. Like you we are all on this journey of knowing more of God and fulfilling the plans and purposes he has for our lives.
